Island Life is slated for a June release and has customizable houseboats, exploration to uncharted islands, and new activities snorkeling and scuba diving.
Also slated for release this year are two Shadowrun titles from tabletop gaming and highly successful from iterations on the old SNES and Sega Genesis systems. Shadowrun had successful Kickstarter campaigns for two titles, Shadowrun Returns and Shadowrun Online.
Shadowrun Returns will have an editor so that people can make their own missions for others to play through. It’s a 2D turn-based RPG with an emphasis on storytelling and tactical combat that will harken back to the SNES/SEGA versions, not the FPS released on Xbox. Shadowrun Returns is now available for pre-order (Estimated release date of Early Summer 2013).
Shadowrun Online is a full Unity3D online game, accessible through Windows, Mac, Android, iOS- and Linux and on Ouya, with high quality graphics and great effects. It is fully cross platform, meaning you can play it on your tablet in the train, then go home to sit down at your PC to continue with the same character. Highly individualizable characters and a turn based system, which balances fast-paced action with deep tactical combat, make it a true Shadowrun experience. The players actions in the world here will not only affect the fate of the online game world but also have effects in the pen and paper world of Shadowrun as well. Donations are still being made available through Paypal for those who wish to donate for a limited time and there are many different levels of contributions available and some really nice rewards for doing so.
